Also, on our little roadtrip: my compadres. Andree, having a good time pretending to be a farm girl by driving the Gator, Brian the redneck on the 4-wheeler, and Colby and Copper… the hilarious farm dogs. And occasionally my dorky-horse-obsession-from-childhood reappears. This pretty Chesnut lives across the road.

My work and everyone’s help in April paid off- I was appointed to the City Council last night! Electing the new mayor, Tim Reed, left a vacant spot, and three of us applied for it. I look forward to serving Brookings!
