There are tons more photos from our wedding on Facebook, so if you’re not already, add me as a friend, and lurk away. My darling Brian and I tied the knot on September 5th at Buffalo Ridge Resort in Gary (my hometown.) I cannot even describe how lovely of a day it was! Everything was perfect… of course I forgot some things, and didn’t get to talk to everyone I wanted to, but all in all- we had the wedding we’d imagined. However, I think I was so pumped that day about getting married, that I kinda’ forgot about all the other details until we saw the photos and video! There were so many cool moments. My mom tearing up, and telling me how proud she is of me and how much she loves Brian… riding up to the ceremony in a carriage, and seeing my groom waiting for me with the sweetest smile in the world… turning to look at our guests during the ceremony, and seeing that almost everyone had tears… Oh, and hearing over and over “Jael- this is seriously the neatest wedding I’ve ever been to.” yesssss- mission accomplished! And planned in three months, folks! It can be done.

These guys are truly one of my favorite families. Brian loves hanging out with Jon; Jess and I could dream and brainstorm for days; and Wyatt, who turned one in October, is one of the most endearing and hilarious little guys I’ve ever seen.Â

I figured out halfway through Brittany’s session that the reason she looked so familiar, is that she works a couple doors down from us. I have moments of unobservancy, I guess!

Adam has a super personality- really. And he’s about a foot taller than me so I definitely spent most of this session on a foot-stool.

This little cutie has lots of signature expressions, which is what I love about photographing kids in the candid, informal way I do. You can capture those! And I love the portrait of he and his mommy- the essence of the mother and son relationship.Â

This was a fun project. I don’t take on very much commercial work, but once in awhile, I really enjoy mixing it up; seeing some countryside and meeting new people. So between Pierre, Avon, Sioux Falls, Watertown and Brookings, I put some miles on, saw some exciting projects, and got to know people I probably wouldn’t have otherwise! These photos will be used for a publication that educates high schoolers on potential careers.

My little sister. Oh wow- a senior. She’s always been beautiful- since she was a toddler, and captivated hearts right and left! It’s so fun seeing her grow up, and define who she’ll be. I love my sisters.

I don’t know if her mommy and daddy would see her as an angel some days, but she sure played the part! Here are a couple more images from her model session for the Limited Edition. I can’t wait to see all the little angels…
